ONE
UMMAH PROGRAMS
During
the first few years of One Ummah Foundation’s history, we provided
funding to refurbish fifteen schools in Pakistan, the largest of which,
the
Al-Khair school, provides lessons and lunch five days a week for 2,700
children.
The other two Karachi schools, Al-Mustafa Academy, and the Rahmania
Masjid School, provide for 600 additional students.
Recently,
our activities are primarily concentrated in one organization in Jhelum, Pakistan
recommended by one of our large donors.
The organization, Capt. Muazzam Ali Shaheed Welfare Council,
is currently raising funds for a new 60-bed
hospital in Jhelum
and also runs the Al Qasim Institute, a technical
school for mentally handicapped children in Jhelum.
